Woven Families

EVERY FAMILY LOOKS A LITTLE DIFFERENT

Woven Families welcomes you, whether you are beginning to explore adoption and/or foster care, seeking encouragement on your adoption journey, hoping to discover resources after placement or learning more about ways you can support adoptive and foster care families. No matter where you are along your journey, we hope to connect with you.

James 1:27 – “Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.”

Woven Families Mission

ADOPTION/FOSTER CARE/KINSHIP

  • Support adoptive, foster, and kin families, waiting families, and those considering adoption and foster care by connecting them with resources, mentoring, education, prayer, discipleship, groups, relationships, and mental health support.

  • Promote and raise Awareness within our church about adoption, foster care, and orphans needs (domestically and internationally) through media and November to Remember.

  • Provide Financial assistance and grants to families who desire to adopt and for adoptive/foster families in need.

CARING FOR ELDERLY PARENTS/FAMILY MEMBERS

  • Support families that are caring for elderly parents and family members by connecting them with resources, mentoring, education, prayer, discipleship, groups, relationships, and mental health support.

  • Promote and raise Awareness within our church about the needs of families caring for elderly parents and family members.

CARING FOR CHILDREN WITH SPECIAL NEEDS

  • Aid families that are caring for children with special needs by connecting them with resources, mentoring, education, prayer, discipleship, groups, relationships, and mental health support.

  • Support families through our Ark Special Friends ministries. This ministry partners an adult with a child who may need a little extra support while visiting our children’s ministry classes on Sunday mornings.

Foster & Adoption Friendly Church

Woven Families consists of families with adopted and foster children from countries including the United States, China, Korea, Haiti, Ethiopia, Russia, Guatemala and Uganda, and from all types of backgrounds, including older children adopted internationally and domestically. We have officially received the Foster Adoption Friendly Church certification from Project 1:27.
We help match adoptive and foster families looking for a caregiver for their children, who understands their needs.
