Ghost Stories: Time to Do the Stuff

Whether you grew up saying "Holy Ghost" or "Holy Spirit," came from a tradition that talked about him constantly, or barely heard him mentioned at all, most of us carry some kind of history with the third person of the Trinity. Some of that history is rich. Some of it is confusing. And for some people, experiences in the name of the Holy Spirit have actually caused real hurt. Ghost Stories is a new series that starts fresh, looking at the Holy Spirit through history, through Scripture, and through the question of how he wants to move in and through us today. Week one opens with the Welsh Revival of 1904, a story of ordinary people and extraordinary results, then moves into Acts 8, where a man named Simon the Sorcerer shows us exactly the wrong way to relate to the Spirit, and Philip, Peter, and John show us the right way.
